It is inevitable that all organizations will face some degree of risk and threat, whether the threat comes from natural disasters, cyber breaches, or incidents perpetrated by humans. It is critical to assess the organization's risks in order to identify its strengths, weaknesses, and potential threats. Moreover, it is imperative that the assessment also includes recommendations for resolving the issues and action steps for doing so. An assessment of risk is critical to planning, and training staff to be safe.

Security and safety plans can make the difference between life and death during violent critical incidents. whether the threat comes from natural disasters, cyber breaches, or incidents perpetrated by humans. When BRACE Planning is implemented, an Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and a Continuity of Operation Plan (COOP) are developed, which describe emergency response procedures as well as the responsibilities of the COOP team members. This holds them responsible for completing their assigned duties throughout an emergency response and disaster recovery, no matter what type of disaster may take place.

There was a significant increase in the number of mass shootings in the United States during the year 2020, with an all-time high of 611 critical events and 513 fatalities, which set a record for the country in terms of mass shootings. These tragic and alarming statistics, both of which are indicative of a growing trend of violence, emphasize the need for organizations and educational institutions to strengthen their protective measures and response plans in the face of this problem. There is no doubt that the fact that mass killings occur almost two per day in the United States illustrates the importance of having a workforce that is both informed and trained. BRACE Training offers these training services to organizations that are serious about safety and security for their clients and employees.
